Elise Morgan, Dean, College of EngineeringElise Morgan is dean of the College of Engineering and the Maysarah K. Sukkar Professor of Engineering Design and Innovation at Boston University. She holds a primary faculty appointment in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and additional appointments in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and in the Division of Materials Science and Engineering in the College of Engineering, as well as an appointment in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in the Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Rabia Tugce Yazicigil received her PhD from Columbia University in 2016 and was a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT. Her research spans integrated circuits, biosensing, signal processing, hardware security, and wireless systems, with a focus on energy-constrained applications. She is received an NSF CAREER Award, BU’s Early Career Excellence in Research Award, and the Catalyst Foundation Award. She currently serves as Chair of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society Women-in-Circuits Committee, the SSCS Distinguished Lecture Program, and as an IEEE SSCS and CASS Distinguished Lecturer..

Will Boley, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science & Engineering>> Additive Manufacturing of Electronic Skins and Musculofascial Multifunctional Structures
J. William (Will) Boley is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Division of Materials Science at Boston University (BU). His research group focuses understanding and harnessing the relationships between materials synthesis, assembly process, and multiscale architecture in AM to create new multifunctional materials and systems. He completed his B.S. and M.S. degrees at the University of Kentucky, and Ph.D. at Purdue University. He conducted two postdoctoral trainings prior to joining BU, first at Purdue University, and then at Harvard University. He is a recipient of the AFOSR Young Investigator Program Award, the NSF CAREER Award, and the 2024 ASME Rising Stars Award.
Mike Messina, Manufacturing Engineering Department Manager, ASML>> Manufacturing adapting with Moore’s Law
Mike Messina has worked for ASML for 26 years, mainly in manufacturing. He was one of the first manufacturing engineers to start working on EUV (NXE3100) and was responsible for the mechatronics integration and test of the first EUV systems in Wilton CT. He currently leads a team of 75 EUV manufacturing engineers, responsible for EXE (High-NA) and the MFG Engineering team of Industrialization and First Line Support.

Douglas Densmore is the Tegan Family Distinguished Faculty Fellow, a Kern Faculty Fellow, a Hariri Institute for Computing and Computational Science and Engineering Faculty Fellow. His research focuses on the development of tools for the specification, design, assembly, and test of synthetic biological systems. His approaches draw upon his experience with embedded system-level design and electronic design automation (EDA).

Keith A. Brown is the Associate Chair for Graduate Programs in Mechanical Engineering. He earned an SB in Physics from MIT, a PhD in Applied Physics from Harvard University, and was a postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University. The KABlab studies approaches to accelerate the development of advanced materials and structures with a focus on polymers.
Steve Chomyszak, Professor of the Practice, Mechanical Engineering and Director of EPIC>> EPIC: Always in Pursuit of Excellence
Steve Chomyszak is the Director of the Engineering Product Innovation Center (EPIC). He holds a degree in Industrial Design from Syracuse University and a MSin General Engineering from Stanford University. He started a company, Mechanology, to develop machinery used in the renewable and reclaimed energy sectors. He holds many patents and invented and developed novel technology under contract with various government agencies and commercial clients for uses in automotive fuel cells, combined heat and power, solar thermal, two-phase fluid expansion, compressed air energy storage, and industrial air compression.
