Order of the Engineer

The Order of the Engineer was founded in the United States in 1970, and the Boston University College of Engineering Link was established in 1985. The organization encourages graduating seniors to formally recognize their responsibilities to society by promoting ethical standards and professional integrity among engineers of all disciplines.

We invite all graduating seniors from the College of Engineering to demonstrate their pride and commitment to the engineering profession by participating in the Order of the Engineer Induction Ceremony.  The fee for life-time membership with the Order of the Engineer is $12. Membership, and your commitment to be a responsible engineer, is symbolized via a stainless-steel ring, worn on the fifth finger of the working hand.

To order your membership and participate in our local ceremony on February 21st, you must first order your membership and provide your ring size on the website.  Please visit our website to submit the order form!   https://www.bu.edu/eng/academics/resources/undergraduate-student-resources/seniors/order-of-the-engineer/membership-form.  The last day to order is Friday, January 31, 2025.
