She has lately been involved with the Reacting to the Past pedagogy, which engages students through immersive role-playing games, and with BU’s Cross-College Challenge program, dedicated to project- and team-based learning.

Maria has translated scholarly works in literary criticism, sociology, music and theater arts, and Soviet archival studies. Her poetry has appeared in the literary magazines Clarion and Literary Mama.

She currently serves as Writing Coordinator for the Core Curriculum and in that capacity welcomes your questions about the Core Writing Fellows program.
