We empower communication students to manage their professional development and achieve career goals. We strive for equity and inclusion in the delivery of our services as well as partner with internal and external stakeholders who uplift career equity.
How We Accompish Our Mission Statement
- Discuss identity in our offerings including our appointments, workshops, mentor programming, internship funding etc.
- Increase access to career development information by offering workshops that teach multiple students at a time
- Uplift our student staff through the GCC Program (Graduate Career Counselor Program)
- Provide a curated list of resources for diverse populations, including funded internships and fellowships
- Partner with employers, faculty, student clubs, alumni and offices around campus to deliver high-quality service
- Educate students on opportunities to further their career goals through student clubs and classes such as AdLab, PR Lab, PRSSA, AdClub, BUTV10, Redlist, Daily Free Press, BU News Service, WTBU, The Bunion etc.

Settled Vs. Seeking
Based on the most recent survey completed at the end of 2024, 96% of College of Communication graduates found their path within six months of graduation, reporting themselves as settled into employment, graduate or professional school, or other chosen activity.
Knowledge Rate = 77% (456 out of 594 COM degree recipients)
