COM advertising students win big at Hatch Awards

Kylee Hegarty won the All Show Next Generation Award, the top student honor. By the end of the evening, four gold, 12 silver, 15 bronze and 20 merit awards went to COM students, all from portfolio classes taught by Doug Gould, Pegeen Ryan, Judith Austin and other COM faculty.

“This was a great night for COM students and it’s a testament to the hard work they put in under the most difficult of circumstances this past year,” Gould said.

Ryan added, “All the COM faculty who have taught them take special pride in their moment.”

The Hatch Awards ceremony is one of the country’s premiere regional creative award shows, regularly featuring winning work that goes on to prevail at national and international shows including One Show and Cannes. Judges hailed from many of the top creative agencies in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.
