COM jumps in prestigious global advertising group’s annual rankings for student work

Boston University’s College of Communication rose 13 spots to No. 9 in an annual ranking of undergraduate advertising programs in North America by The One Club for Creativity, one of the top international professional associations in the field.

The list is based on Young Ones Student Awards, which honor extraordinary advertising, design, and digital communications as selected by a jury of top international industry professionals.

“Our students pour their hearts into the craft of art direction, design, and copywriting,” said Doug Gould, professor of the practice for advertising, “and the Young Ones is one of the global competitions that leaves the creative faculty proud to see all of that hard work rewarded.”

This year, COM student projects earned four Young Ones awards, including a top prize by senior Grace Pisciotta for her student portfolio. Other COM projects won awards in the ADC (Art Directors Club) competition:

  • Reddy, Set, Go, for Reddy Ice: Florence Wang (’26), AD/CW, and Zoe Rahaim (’26), AD/CW.
  • The 1/80th Exhibit, for WNBPA: Ian Katan (’26), CW, Grace Pisciotta (’26), AD.
  • Natural by Design, for Patagonia: Helena Wang (’26), AD, Tanishka Singh (’26), CW, Ahaan Vaknalli (’26), CW, Jessica Gonzalez (’26), CW, Ian Katan (’26), CW, and Maria Fischer (’26), CW.
