AdLabbies Honors for Best Campaigns From Spring
The best student advertising campaigns of the spring semester were celebrated at the AdLabbies, COM’s semi-annual event sponsored by AdLab, COM’s student-led advertising agency.
The evening’s top award, the Grandlabbie, was presented to the group behind work for the U.S. Tennis Association New England Team: Emilyse Minaya, Jialu (Ellen) Ni, Jessica Tonthat, Lauren Schellamer, Emerson Gray, Ashley Yang and Amelia Edelsberg.
“The GrandLabbie celebrates more than just the final work—it recognizes the spirit, strength, and overall performance of the entire team,” said Mike Davis, AdLab faculty adviser and an associate professor of the practice for advertising. “Throughout the judging process, the nominations for USTA just kept piling up—from project management to strategy to art direction to copy. There were a lot of well-deserving client teams this year, for sure, but USTA was the unanimous call.”
Saxby’s, the popular student-run cafe with a location in the Center for Data Sciences, was celebrated for its participation as an AdLab client partner. Saxby Area Operations Manager Lauren Wasserman accepted the award on behalf of the company.
