Vigil wins NCA award

COM Associate Dean and Assistant Professor Tammy Vigil won the National Communication Association's 2009 Wrage-Baskerville Award for Top Contributed Paper in the Public Address Division. Her paper is entitled “FDR's 1932 Commonwealth Club Address: Building Ethos by Offering Stability through Change.”

Also at the NCA convention, Assistant Professor Cheryl Ann Lambert presented a “Great Idea for Teaching Speech” (GIFTS). The topic: How Public Relations Professionals Are Portrayed On Film.
