Amazing Eight: COM Graduate Student Awards
Eight graduate students from Boston University’s College of Communication accepted this year’s COM Graduate Student Awards, recognizing outstanding achievements, dedication, and contributions by the college’s graduate students.
“Our graduate students play a vital role in shaping the intellectual and creative life of the college,” said Laurie Nichols, assistant dean of graduate affairs. “The nominees and recipients of this year’s awards stand out for their excellence, generosity, and lasting contributions to our COM community.”
Recipients were selected by a review committee of faculty and staff members at the College of Communication.
Winners of 2025 COM Graduate Student Awards:
- Graduate Student of the Year: Ananya Swaroop (COM ’26, MS in Journalism)
- Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence: Yuejiao Di (COM ’26, MS in Media Science: Marketing Communication Research) and Dongpeng Huang (COM ’25, PhD in Emerging Media Studies)
- Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant: Abigail Pritchard (COM ’26, MS in Journalism) and Britney Kirwan (COM ’26, MS in Advertising)
- COM Global Citizen Award: Syfia Safira Wulandari (COM ’26, MS in Public Relations) and Zhilan Huang (COM ’26, MS in Journalism)
- COMmunity Service Award: Yifang Li (COM ’25, MS in Media Science: Marketing Communication Research)
