CGS Curriculum
The information below represents all courses offered through the College of General Studies liberal arts program. Please note that students are required to complete 10 of the 12 courses listed below. Upon completion of the CGS program, students must have completed the following:
- Social Sciences: 3 courses total (CGS SS 104, and choose 2 from CGS SS 103, SS 201, and SS 202)
- Humanities: 3 courses total (CGS HU 104, and choose 2 from CGS HU 103, HU 201, and HU 202)
- Rhetoric: 2 courses total (CGS RH 103 and CGS RH 104)
- Natural Sciences: 2 courses total (CGS NS 201 and CGS NS 202)*
CGS students will have space to take at least one elective towards their major or an area of academic interest during the Fall and Spring terms. Students should consult with their CGS academic advisor for guidance on elective and CGS course selection as is related to their long-term degree plans.
