Week 3: Boston-London Program
Between classes, the streets and parks of London are there for the exploring during the Boston-London Program’s semester abroad. In Week Three, students stayed busy with their studies: studying the rise of fascism in Europe, doing rhetorical analysis, taking in the poems of Baudelaire and Hopkins, reading George Eliot and T.S. Eliot, discussing Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and taking field trips to the V&A museum, Imperial War Museum, and Bank of England.
Students also took some time to enjoy the shops and sights at Regent Street and Carnaby Street.

A Warner Brother’s Studio Tour brought the students right to the Harry Potter world of butterbeer, broomsticks, and of course, Hogwarts Express.

Trafalgar Square is in the heart of Westminster. It took years for the City of London to finish the iconic lions that surround Nelson’s Column.

Sometimes it’s good to take a break and see things from a new perspective.

Students stopped by the gates of Buckingham Palace, the residence of the monarchs of Great Britain, and took some selfies.

Holland Park is home to the Japanese Kyoto Garden–along with these peacocks.

Students were able to see a slice of history at the Imperial War Museum and get some words of wisdom to take through the rest of their semester.
