Boston University Arts Administration Lecturer, Wendy Swart Grossman, and Ad Interim Director of the School of Visual Arts at Boston University College of Fine Arts, Jeannette Guillemin, are the moderators and facilitators of Arts and Ideas in Action: Art+Business+Social Impact Symposium.

Art in its many forms is integrated into the tapestry of Boston—from the Rose Kennedy Greenway to the Seaport, Dudley Square and Kendall Square Innovation Districts. Social impact work-spaces, incubators, accelerators and maker spaces are embracing art and its intersection with biotech, technology, healthcare, design, and societal issues.

With the rise of the creative economy and increasing overlap between arts, commerce, and social impact Boston University’s College of Fine Arts, Questrom School of Business, The BUzz Lab, and the BU Arts Initiative have come together to launch Arts and Ideas in Action: Art+Business+Social Impact Symposium.

The event will be held in the new BU Graduate Graphic Design Studios, 808 Commonwealth Avenue, 4th floor on Friday, November 11th from 9am–3:30pm. This is a great opportunity to join creative visionaries, thought leaders, advocates, artists, designers, and students in an interactive, stimulating conversation.

Volunteers are needed to help ensure Arts & Ideas in Action runs as smoothly as possible! Sign up to be a volunteer here!
