XIth International Symposium on Amyloidosis

Location
The XIth International Symposium on Amyloidosis will be held on the Cape Cod seashore at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, MA.  The Marine Biological Laboratory is an educational institution dedicated to scientific discovery in biology and medicine.

Schedule for Scientific Sessions and Social Programs

Keynote Speaker
The keynote speaker will be Dr. Stanley Prusiner, Nobel laureate for his discovery of an entirely new class of pathogens, prions, that replicate without nucleic acid.  Through this work, he created a new field of research that has resulted in significant progress in understanding degenerative diseases of the central nervous system (CNS).

Registration
Registration for the Symposium through the MBL website is now closed. Email Kamille Carthy at kcarthy@bu.edu if you still need to register.

Abstracts
The deadline for abstracts will be July 15th and notice of acceptances will be available by September 15th.   Abstracts should be new scientific or clinical data that is appropriate for one of the scientific sessions as listed in the schedule for scientific sessions.

Abstracts will be published by Taylor and Francis Publishers as a supplement to the Amyloid Journal which will be available at the Symposium.

An extended abstract will be published in a book published by CRC Press as was done for the Xth International Symposium.  Extended abstracts may be submitted at the Symposium or must be received by November 15th. See Proceedings book directions.

Copyright agreement must be signed also and may be done at the meeting or faxed to us by November 15th. Contributors agreement.
