What made you choose Boston University?
As an international student, I was really drawn to BU because of its huge international population! I also like how BU doesn’t really have a campus and is just part of the city. Boston is such a beautiful place, and being able to study in the heart of it was something I always dreamed about.

What are the aspects of BU that you are most proud of/regularly tell your non-BU friends about?

My favourite part about BU is how easy it is to get around! It’s super accessible and I love exploring the area since our “campus” space is so open. Also, even though we don’t have a traditional campus, I feel comfortable walking around at night because we’re in a relatively safe part of Boston.

How have you changed since your first day on campus?
I’d say I’m definitely a lot more reflective of myself now. I’m more comfortable with myself and more mature because I learned a lot from my friends and also from being on my own, away from family. I think I really found my people who played a huge role in helping me adjust to the culture here and just being happy.

Why did you choose to be involved in SAA?

As I was exploring fun ways for BU alums to stay connected with the BU community, , SAA was what came up! When I learned more about its role and all the events SAA hosts, I knew I wanted to get involved. I’ve personally talked with many alumni who were excited to come back and join campus activities, and I think it’s amazing to create a space where BU grads feel like they are always welcomed in the community. I want to be a part of the team that makes those student-alumni connections happen!
