BU alumni & friends share their favorite Eastern Standard memories

By February 18, 2021, it was clear that Eastern Standard, along with its sister restaurants, Island Creek Oyster Bar and the Hawthorne, would close for good. Eastern Standard (aka ES) was a BU community favorite for 16 years. The response across our social media channels was tremendous—heartwarming, sincere, and full of nostalgia. While we can’t share all 315 comments, we hope that the few we’ve highlighted below will spark a memory or two.
