Whether you volunteer at an in-person site, take part in virtual opportunities like letter-writing, or serve on your own and log your hours, every act of service counts. For years, GDS has united alumni, students, faculty, and friends in giving back to communities around the world—be part of the tradition and get involved today!

Celebrating Women’s History Month

Women’s History Month is a time to recognize and celebrate the contributions of women in our communities and across industries. From Helen Magill, the first woman in the US to earn a PhD in 1877, to Lucy Jenkins Franklin, who founded the HER House in 1928 to provide affordable housing for female students, BU has a rich history of empowering women. Throughout March and beyond, the BU Alumni Association is hosting a series of inspiring events highlighting women’s leadership and impact.

COMtalk: Women in Journalism on March 5
Providence Alumni Network International Women’s Day Tea Celebration on March 8
Elevating Women in Sports: A Conversation with BU Alumnae & Faculty on March 26
Women & Wealth: Building & Maintaining Financial Wellness Series from April 10 to April 29.
