Exploring Hindi-Urdu
October 12 – WLL hosted Bollywood Dance Night, otherwise known as Dhamaal, at BU’s Global House, which was open to all BU Students. The event featured incredible performances by various student groups and traditional food available for attendees. Members of the audience watched each group perform routines in their own style and then had the opportunity to learn classic dances with each group. The evening was captured in a close up feature in BU Today.

November 16 – The Hindi-Urdu program hosted a Diwali celebration in collaboration with BU Center for the Study of Asia at the Pardee School of Global Studies. The Art of Light event was a traditional celebration including delicious food and incredible performances by BU student clubs. Highlights included dances by Fatakada, Boston University’s premiere garba-raas team, traditional songs, instrumental music and fashion show by Zhaohua Chinese Culture Club, demonstration and workshop by BU Kendo Association, and various games.
