NSF Engineering Research Center in Cellular Metamaterials (CELL-MET)
The NSF Engineering Research Center in Cellular Metamaterials, or the CELL-MET, is a National-Science-Foundation-funded Engineering Research Center under grant EEC-1647837. Our engineering research center is comprised of over 100 staff, researchers, and trainees and numerous institutions. CELL-MET aims to achieve a grand vision of creating functional heart tissue, cure heart disease and fix damaged human heart tissue. Our research develops new technologies and integrates existing ones, including stem cell biology, mechanobiology, materials science, and optics.
