Center for Behavioral Science Research

The mission of the Center for Behavioral Science Research is to conduct state-of-the-art research and training in behavioral science and health behavior change using clinical and public health approaches to improve health among diverse populations, across the lifespan. Specifically, its focus is to: investigate methods of motivating health behavior change, investigate new technologies and channels to deliver health behavior change interventions, investigate the physiological and psychological mechanisms of health behavior change, develop and test health behavior change interventions for a variety of underserved cultures and subpopulations (e.g., psychiatric, medical, ethnic), use qualitative data, theory, and community-based participatory methods to develop treatments, and participate in transdisciplinary collaborations to develop innovate approaches to changing health behaviors and improving health outcomes.
