The Jacobs Foundation Learning Variability Network Exchange (LEVANTE) (8/19)

The Jacobs Foundation’s global programs aim to advance evidence-based practices in education, with a particular focus on how individual differences impact children’s learning. As part of this effort, the Foundation’s global research network, LEVANTE, is currently accepting proposals in two categories — small and large projects — that focus on developing children within the 2-12 age range over a four year period. Interested applicants should submit a stage one initial application by Tuesday, August 19.

$75k for a two-year fellowship supporting outstanding early-career faculty across the sciences. Submit nominations by Friday, August 8 via InfoReady Review.

MEET THE FUNDED: Securing Graduate Student Funding (8/7)

Beyond financial assistance necessary to complete thesis research, applying for grants can offer valuable experience in proposal writing, greater research flexibility, and professional recognition for graduate students.

On Thursday, August 7 at 12 pm, join Foundation Relations to learn more about navigating the grant application process. During this virtual event, a panel of advanced graduate students from across BU programs will share their experiences securing funding. Learn more and RSVP on the Office of Research website.

Lab eN2 Program at BU

Boston University has recently partnered with Novo Nordisk and Evotec International to launch Lab eN2. The new program aims to identify and accelerate innovative drug technologies across various areas of therapeutic interest, including: diabetes, obesity, chronic diseases, rare diseases, and novel platform technologies. The University will continue to monitor and share information relevant to researchers on that webpage. BU Foundation Relations now compiles foundation grants by category, including neuroscience; education; diversity, equity, and inclusion; environment and sustainability; biomedical and life sciences; and more.

Federal Grant Opportunities

BU Federal Relations has curated primers of federal grant opportunities on their website, including programs supporting international collaborationsequipment and infrastructure, and behavioral and social sciences, arts, and humanities (Kerberos login required).

BU Proposal Library

The Office of Research curates a proposal library, organized by funder and grant component, as a resource for researchers preparing grant applications. We are currently seeking successful faculty proposals to the following funders:
