Lab Animal Per Diem Rate Changes
Effective September 1, 2018, the University announced new lab animal per diem rates for the Charles River and Medical Campuses (exclusive of the NEIDL).
The tables below reflect the costs for the current fiscal year, FY19, as well as proposed costs for the next five years. Please use these projected costs when preparing proposal submission forms.
Subsidized rates are for grants that carry the full BU-negotiated facilities and administrative (F&A) rate. The full direct cost, Non-Subsidized rates must be used for grants that do not carry the full BU negotiated F&A rate. Please note that all industry-sponsored research awards, as well as any startup or other non-sponsored funding sources must pay the full, unsubsidized cost; therefore, please plan accordingly when submitting proposals and funding requests.
