Period of Performance – Allowable Costs

As a reminder, all expenditures should be for work performed within the Period of Performance of the Award.  For example, if your award ends July 2023, work performed in August 2023 is not an allowable charge.

Boston University’s auditors test period of performance expenditures each year, including costs that were expensed in the first month of the award and in the last to ensure they are appropriate and allowable.
