"Symbolic Power, Politics, and Intellectuals: The Political Sociology of Pierre Bourdieu" by David Swartz A Book Discussion and Launch Party to celebrate the publication of David Swartz’s new book Symbolic Power, Politics, and Intellectuals: The Political Sociology of Pierre Bourdieu (University of Chicago Press, 2013).The celebration will begin with a panel discussion of David Swartz’s book featuring Bart Bonikowski (Harvard University), Neil Gross (University of British Columbia and the Institute for Public Knowledge), and David Swartz (BU).
