Art Expression Workshop

  • Starts: 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 7, 2018
  • Ends: 2:30 pm on Saturday, April 7, 2018
This event is a part of Sexual Assault Awareness Week. The Center for Gender, Sexuality, and Activism will be hosting a workshop with artists from The Art of Survival on how to create art as form of expressing your emotions, experiences, and contextualizing past events. Creating art has long been used as a forms of self-expression for survivors of trauma, especially in sexual assault. By looking at how stories have been turned into art, learning new art techniques, and creating art in a setting of open conversation, participants will leave with their own work of art and a better understanding of how to utilize art in their lives.
