Dormitory, 33 Harry Agganis Way

All of our Parent & Family Orientation programming will be held virtually during the spring/summer 2024. However, we know some families will choose to visit campus while their student attends Student Orientation this summer. We welcome your visit to Boston and can provide you with on-campus accommodations in June. We also have a list of area hotels if you are visiting in August or if you would prefer to stay in a hotel. Finally, we have included a parking pass (see below) to use during your visit. Please note the following:

  • Parents/guardians are not allowed to attend Student Orientation.
  • Students attending Orientation must stay in Orientation housing.
  • On-campus accommodations are only available in June.
  • Parents/guardians are encouraged to join us for our Campus Welcome Breakfasts.
  • Please print the parking pass (included below) prior to your arrival.

On-Campus Accommodations

On-campus housing is available for parents and families accompanying incoming students to BU Student Orientation at our dormitory located at 33 Harry Agganis Way. Parent and family overnight accommodations are not included in the Student Orientation registration fee and must be reserved and paid for separately.

Details

The dormitory at 33 Harry Agganis Way is a modern, air-conditioned, high-rise building with terrific views of Boston.

  • Each bedroom is furnished with a chair, dresser, and closet.
  • Beds are made upon arrival and include bed sheets, a blanket, and bath towels. Daily housekeeping is not provided.
  • A shared living area contains a table and chairs, couch, and a microwave and mini fridge.
  • Check-in begins at 3 pm and check-out by 10 am. There is an on-call front desk attendant available 24 hours a day.
  • The building has 24-hour front desk security and free guest WiFi.
  • Free, on-campus, overnight parking is available throughout your stay.

Room Types and Rates

Single Bedroom – $75.50/night: Family members attending on their own (only one parent attending) will be assigned to a private bedroom (single bed for one person) in a suite shared with other adult Orientation attendees of the same gender.

Family of Two – $151.00/night: Families of two (a couple or a parent and a sibling) will either be assigned to their own suite or share a suite with another family of two. Each family of two will have a private bedroom with two single beds and their own bathroom.

Family of Three or more – $207.75/night: Families of three to five will be assigned to their own suite. Each bedroom within the suite has a single bed for one person.

Accommodations during Student Orientation Session 1 (June 5-6)

  • On-campus housing is available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night.

Accommodations during Student Orientation Session 2 (June 12-13)

  • On-campus housing is available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night.

Accommodations during Student Orientation Session 3 (June 20-21)

  • On-campus housing is available on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night.

Accommodations during Student Orientation Session 4 (June 26-27)

  • On-campus housing is available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night.

Parking

If you will be joining us, please print this complimentary, parking pass prior to your arrival to campus. You will need to scan the QR code to enter specific parking lots/garages that are listed on the pass. After entering the garage, please put the pass on your dashboard.
