Welcome to the BU family! As you and your student prepare to embark on this exciting journey, we invite you to engage with the Boston University community. We are planning several opportunities for you to connect, and we hope you’ll get involved!

Terrier Family Network 
Join our Terrier Family Network for access to our parent portal and to receive regular newsletters from the University.

Know Before You Go Sessions
We invite you to register for our virtual Know Before You Go sessions. These sessions will serve as our Parent & Family Orientation this spring and summer and will be a great way for you to become acclimated to all things Boston University! Rest assured, the sessions will also be recorded and available for viewing on our website. The sessions, held at Eastern Time, will be as follows:

  • What Do We Need to Know? – Wednesday, May 20, 5 pm
  • Will My Terrier Be Ok? – Wednesday, May 27, 5 pm
  • What Should We Be Doing Now? – Wednesday, June 3, 5 pm
  • What Should We Expect? – Wednesday, June 10, 5 pm
  • Will My Terrier Find Their Place? – Wednesday, June 17, 5 pm
  • Are We Ready? – Wednesday, June 24, 5 pm

Online Orientation Course 
Your student’s orientation experience includes a self-paced, online course that guides them through the fundamental knowledge base for their success at Boston University. We encourage you to take the online course, which will be available in May, by creating a guest account.

Campus Welcome Visits 
If you plan to visit campus over the summer, please let us know! We will be offering personalized campus visits for incoming students and their families on weekdays from Monday, June 1, through Thursday, August 20, 2026, (excluding holidays) between 10 am-3 pm ET. We ask that you sign up in advance, so we are ready to welcome you, answer your questions, and show you around!
