  • Ends: 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 27, 2014
Brian Cazeneuve has been a staff writer at Sports Illustrated since 1995. His work has appeared in numerous national publications, including Time, People, The New York Times, Washington Post, NBC Sports, and others. He has also written books on various topics, from cross country skiing to Ken Griffey Jr. He co-authored Beneath the Surface with the most decorated Olympian of all time, Michael Phelps. Brian will be visiting us just as he is returning from covering the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. This will be the 15th Olympic Games that Brian has covered as a journalist. He attended his first Olympics in Los Angeles (1984) as a spectator which helped him hone in on his career aspirations. Check out his Sports Illustrated archive. The Jack Falla Speaker Series honors the late, great Jack Falla, who famously held class at 8 a.m. to ensure the enrollment of only dedicated students. Jack sadly passed away four years ago, but we honor his memory by continuing his genuine devotion to students. Jack always recruited fantastic guest speakers, often COM alumni, for his classes, ones that formed lasting memories and connections. Jack Falla Speaker Series events are free and open to the BU community. For questions, contact Assistant Dean Micha Sabovik - msabovik@bu.edu. Please RSVP.
