CANCELED: AIDS Quilt Coming to BU Medical Campus

The NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt, often abbreviated to AIDS Memorial Quilt or AIDS Quilt, is an enormous memorial to celebrate the lives of people who have died of AIDS-related causes. The BU School of Public Health Activist Lab is hosting two panels of the AIDS Quilt on the Medical Campus to give our community the opportunity to experience it in person. The AIDS Quilt has had a tremendous impact in telling the story of the AIDS crisis and the AIDS movement, a story of social justice. It invokes compassion and dispels discrimination and stigma. The red ribbon is the universal symbol of awareness and support for people living with HIV. Wearing a ribbon is a great way to raise awareness. The Activist Labs encourages all to show their solidarity by wearing the color red on this day.
