Bent

Bent tells the story of gay men persecuted under Nazi Germany—with beautiful writing, sharp historical detail, and a dark and tenacious sense of humor. It questions how, and if, we can keep our identity and humanity in horrible circumstances. The characters of Bent are all the ways people deal with tragedy—some are schemers, some are cowards, and some are drag queens. Some deny it's even happening, and some find ways to survive and accept it.
