Pardee Center Co-Sponsors Student Symposium for BUCSA Film Week

Pardee Sign IconThe Pardee Center is co-sponsoring a student symposium titled, “Young Asia: The Past and the Future,” as a part of the BU Center for the Study of Asia Film Week. The symposium will be held at the Pardee Center at 67 Bay State Rd on October 22, 2012 from 4-6pm with a reception to follow and will be moderated by Taiyi Sun (Graduate Student and Lecturer, Dept. of Political Science, BU). Prof. Cathy Yeh (Chinese Literature; Dept. of Modern Languages and Comparative Literatures, BU) Prof. Eugenio Menegon (Chinese History, Department of History; Director, BU Center for the Study of Asia and Prof. Nancy Smith-Hefner (South-East Asia, Dept. of Anthropology, BU) will be the faculty commentators. The event will also include student presentations, including a presentation from Pardee 2012 Summer Fellow, Peng Huang. The event will also be co-sponsored by the BU Center for the Humanities, MLCL Department, and Asian student organizations. For details on the presentations visit the BUSCA website.
