Our fellows

The core of the intellectual community supported by the Boston University Center for the Humanities is the Fellows’ Seminar.

This group, which has been in continuous existence since 1984, serves as a forum for research, debate, and public dialogue among humanities faculty from different disciplines and between junior and senior faculty.

NEH Summer Stipend Internal Deadline: July 1, 2017

NEH Summer Stipends are awarded to individual scholars in the amount of $6,000. Summer Stipends support full-time work on a humanities project at any stage of development for a period of two months.

All BU pre-application material for NEH Summer 2018 Stipends should be received by July 1, 2017 at 5:00 pm for internal review.

Second Book Workshop Proposal Deadline: September 1, 2017

Suzanne Ryan, Editor in Chief of Humanities at Oxford University Press, will hold individual tutorials on Friday, October 13, 2017 and a group session on Saturday, October 14, 2017.
