Humanities Approaches to the Opioid Crisis

On October 12th & 13th, 2018, the BU Center for the Humanities brought together humanities scholars, medical professionals, artists whose work centers on addition, and municipal officials for a forum on addiction that created bridges and identified common understandings and solutions. The School of Public Health was our cosponsor for this year’s fall forum.

The core of the intellectual community supported by BUCH is the Fellows’ Seminar.

This group, which has been in continuous existence since 1984, serves as a forum for research, debate, and public dialogue among humanities faculty and graduate students from different disciplines. Jonathan Zatlin, Associate Professor of History, presents on November 27.
