Understanding Your Bill
You can access your bill online through the MyBU Student portal. You will receive an email notification when your bill is available to view.
Below are details of the charges that will appear on your tuition bill for the fall 2024 and spring 2025 semesters. The charges apply to full-time JD and full-time residential LLM students.

Fees: You can find descriptions of the fees on the Student Accounting Services website. The student health insurance (SHIP) and Sports Pass are only charged in the fall semester.
Your Financial Aid
Most financial aid, including scholarships, federal loans and private loans, will automatically be split in half for each semester.
Student Health Insurance
You can waive the Health Insurance only if you have comparable health insurance of your own. If you prefer the Plus Plan, you must request it online through MyBU Student portal.

Health Insurance & Your Financial Aid
The amount for the health insurance is not included in the standard student budget because you can waive it and you have a choice of plans. If you will keep the BU health insurance AND you need to request financial aid to cover the cost, you may request to include it in your budget.
Sports Pass
The Sports Pass can be waived online through the MyBU Student portal before September 1 and in person at the Agganis Arena Ticketing Office after September 1. It is for tickets to home events, such as, ice hockey and basketball games – NOT a membership fee for FitRec.
