Training Sessions for Department Administrators
Our 2015 administrator training sessions are scheduled! These sessions are intended to provide continuing guidance to administrators and hosts on both basic and advanced topics. Please review the options below and mark your calendars. We look forward to seeing you.
Session Descriptions
NEW SESSION! J-1 Exchange Visitors: Regulatory changes update – will provide overview of new regulations pertaining to J-1 exchange visitors and related ISSO process changes.
Inviting an International Scholar: Process Basics – will provide an introduction to the scholar process, including an in-depth review of the required intake forms and an overview of the appointment and visa process.
Working with International Scholars: Advanced Topics – will provide information about changes in activity/employment, U.S. permanent residence and more complicated immigration issues.
J-1 Exchange Visitor Overview – will provide an overview of the J-1 visa category and sponsorship requirements.
H-1B Temporary Worker Overview – will provide an overview of the H-1B temporary visa category and sponsorship requirements.
