Richard Becker is a broadly trained geoscientist with a principal expertise in glacial geology and paleoclimatology and a secondary expertise in structural geology and geomorphology. A former seasonal interpretive park ranger with the National Park Service, he has published scientific articles on the glacial landscapes of Glacier Bay and Yosemite National Parks. On a personal note, he participated in a program similar to BU’s Core Curriculum when he was an undergraduate—and he met his future spouse in the program’s specialty housing. He is thrilled to be entering his second year at Boston University, and for his association with BU’s Core Curriculum.
