
Meghann is a sociology PhD student who is interested in consumption, excess, inequality, medical sociology, and how these intersect. More specifically, she studies the medicalization of excess consumption and accumulation namely, hoarding behaviors, and representations of normative consumption in popular culture. Before starting the PhD program, she worked as a medical writer and editor for a foundation and in children’s publishing at Scholastic. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Wyoming and a M.A. in Liberal Studies: American Studies from The Graduate Center, CUNY.
