Handrio Nurhan was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia, and is fluent in Indonesian, English, and Japanese. In his free time, he sings; he has performed as an opera singer in Indonesia, Singapore, Tokyo, California, Paris, and Texas, both as a member of various groups and independently. While in Texas, he pursued an M.A. in Philosophy at Texas Tech, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Anthropology at Boston University while privately continuing his vocal studies.
