2016 Redstones: Submit Student & Alum Entries
The Redstones 2015 - All Winners
COM is excited to announce the call for submissions to the 2016 Redstones!
The Redstones, sponsored by Sumner Redstone, Chairman of VIACOM, are held each spring and honors the best films of current BU undergraduate and graduate student work. The film awards are sponsored by Canon, Avid, and Gary Fleder and Scott Rosenberg, and include Canon cameras and accessories, Avid and ProTools software, and MacBook Pro computers for the screenplay winners.
Award categories include:
- Best Film (First, Second, Third Place)
- Best Cinematography
- Best Screenplay
- Best Editing
- Best Sound Design
- Fleder/Rosenberg Best Short Screenplay
- Adrienne Shelly Production Grant
While students are gearing up to enter the annual Redstones, the BU Alumni Association and COM invite all BU alumni filmmakers to enter the sixth annual Redstone Alumni Short Film competition. The winner will be awarded a Canon DSLR camera & accessories sponsored by Canon in Los Angeles on April 7, 2016. Submissions of film shorts must be produced or directed by BU alumni.
The deadline for undergraduate/graduate and alumni submissions is January 26, 2016.
