About Aimee Christian
Aimee Christian, Ph.D. sits on the faculty of Boston University’s College of Communication as the Sandra R. Frazier Professor of Public Relations. She also serves as the President of the Massachusetts Society for Medical Research (MSMR).
Most recently, Aimee was the Global Head of Corporate Communications & Engagement at Jazz Pharmaceuticals and has more than 25 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. She has held leadership positions at Sanofi, Novartis, Syngenta and Amgen both in Europe and the US.
Aimee is a biochemist with a scientific yet creative mind, and her career journey has spanned many roles in the biotech/pharma industry including field medical operations, training and communications. As such, she brings a unique perspective of leadership experience and broad scientific and functional expertise. Her communications leadership experience has focused mainly on corporate positioning and reputation, M&A, culture, leadership and organizational change in global, matrixed environments consistently contributing to the success and growth of Fortune 500 companies. Aimee is a progressive, decisive and innovative leader as well as an exemplary communicator highly valued for her expertise in translating objectives into actionable plans and delivering with operational excellence.
Aimee holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Drexel University College of Medicine and a BA in Zoology from Connecticut College. As a lifelong learner, Aimee recently received a certificate in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business strategy from MIT Executive Education and was honored to be named a PharmaVoice 100 Standout Leader recipient in 2024.
