Grants Lab: Live Learning & Support for Sponsored Awards – March 23, 2026

On March 23, 2026, CISS will host a comprehensive Grants Lab session on campus. The day begins with on-site office hours from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Grants Administrator Office, Room 503, at 704 Commonwealth Avenue, where participants can receive personalized grants consultation. This is followed by a Lunch & Learn from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM in the CISS Conference Room, focused on “Budget Development Strategies & Pitfalls.” Attendees will gain practical insights into budget planning and common errors to avoid. The afternoon concludes with a session on “Grants Management Best Practices” from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, covering award intake, financial management, final reporting, and project closeout. These events are tailored for investigators and administrators involved in sponsored research, offering expert guidance and strategies for successful grant management.

Grants Lab Session: International Operations Pre and Post Award Considerations – April 17, 2026

On April 17, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the CISS Conference Room, Christopher Chiofolo, CISS grants administrator, will lead a session dedicated to the unique challenges of projects with international components. This workshop will address both proposal requirements and operational issues encountered during ongoing project management, providing practical solutions for compliance and efficiency. The session targets investigators with international research interests, equipping them with the tools to navigate pre and post award processes confidently.
