Sample Pathway

Below is an example of a four-year plan of a College of General Studies student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics & Computer Science at the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS).

This degree program is a joint major, which combines two fields into one program. Students pursuing the joint major in Mathematics & Computer Science will graduate with one degree that includes coursework from both areas. Students will work with their CGS academic advisors and Computer Science and Mathematics & Statistics department advisors to plan their own pathway to a computer science degree.

Gap Semester Recommended external course: Calculus I (equivalent to CAS MA 123). Note: Prior approval must be granted for all external coursework.
