Boston University College of Fine Arts School of Music presented a free concert at Symphony Hall in Boston on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. The concert highlighted the School’s exceptional ensembles, including Boston University Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Chorus, and Wind Ensemble, in an enthusiastic return to live performance. Maestro James Burton of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, BU’s new Director of Orchestral Activities, led the Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Chorus performing Brahms’ German Requiem with choral director Mariah WilsonDavid Martins conducted the Wind Ensemble performing ‘The Cowboys’ from the motion picture The Cowboy and the Girl by John Williams, and Our New Day Begun by Omar Thomas.
