179 years after our founding, we begin to count down to the end of our first-ever Campaign for Boston University. Thanks to alumni and friends like you, so much has changed. Come explore the ways that you made BU—your home away from home—great.
With his gift of $115 million dollars, the largest in BU history, Rajen Kilachand (Questrom’74, Hon.’14) directed $15 million to the new Rajen Kilachand Center for Integrated Life Sciences & Engineering and $100 million to establish the Rajen Kilachand Fund for Integrated Life Sciences and Engineering.
Created with a $10.5 million gift from BU trustee Richard Shipley (Questrom’68,’72), the Shipley Prostate Cancer Research Center at the School of Medicine will be focused on finding genomic approaches to study prostate cancers and share information with any and all.
Bolstered by a record gift from trustee Rajen Kilachand (Questrom’74, Hon.’14), The Campaign for Boston University closed the last fiscal year, June 30, 2017, with almost $1.3 billion in gifts and pledges.
With a powerful boost from the largest gift in its history, Boston University officially opened the Rajen Kilachand Center for Integrated Life Sciences & Engineering, a state-of-the-art research facility that brings together life scientists, engineers, and physicians from both of BU campuses.
