Current Research:

My dissertation research examines how coastal macroalgae influence both ecosystem nutrient cycling and the ecology of pathogenic Vibrio bacteria. By integrating biogeochemistry with microbial ecology, I investigate how macroalgae shape carbon and nitrogen dynamics while also serving as reservoirs that can support the persistence of human pathogens in estuarine environments.
