Current Research:

Ritika quantitatively studies positional behavior and locomotion in wild Bornean orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus wurmbii) by using both traditional focal follow methods and emerging computer vision and thermal imaging techniques. She is particularly interested in 1) comparing the differences in movement patterns across age and sex classes and 2) exploring how habitat type influences locomotor choices.
