Professor Tom Gilmore and Assistant Professor Sarah Davies in Biology have received a four-year National Science Foundation research grant to investigate Transcription Factors in Cnidarian Immunity, Symbiosis, and Bleaching. This interdisciplinary research combines molecular pathway analyses with marine ecology and genomics to better understand immunity and stress responses, which are often impacted by climate change, in corals and sea anemones.
