Kelly Simone (’21)
Kelly Simone earned her B.A. in Art History with a concentration in Non-Western Art from the University of Florida. During her undergraduate studies, she completed two internships at the Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art in Public Programs and Modern Curatorial. While completing her Public Programs internship, she grew passionate about accessibility and inclusion in the arts and hopes to continue advocating for this in her professional development.
Kelly has worked a variety of jobs ranging from the service industry to the arts. Her work for Alligator Realty as an Administrative Assistant has been the most integral in her decision to pursue a graduate degree in Arts Administration. At Alligator Realty, she improved company visibility in the community through new marketing techniques, trained new employees, drafted all communications, and managed cash flow between tenants, vendors, and owners.
The Arts Administration program at Boston University is the perfect opportunity for me to combine and further develop my practical knowledge of administration with my love for the arts. I am especially intrigued by the variety of coursework and opportunity to learn with a global perspective.
