Internship: Social Media Marketing (PT)
Dedham School of Music is a small nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching lives through music education and performance.
We offer lessons, classes, and performance opportunities for students of all ages and backgrounds. Our mission is to make high-quality music instruction accessible, inspiring, and community-driven. We are seeking a creative, motivated Social Media Marketing Intern to help us share the joy and impact of music through compelling digital content. This is a hands-on opportunity to build your portfolio while supporting a meaningful cause. You will work closely with our staff to capture and share the stories happening in our lessons, classes, rehearsals, and performances.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create engaging video and photo content of music lessons and classes, student and faculty recitals, and other events.
- Research and suggest innovative ways for Dedham School of Music to tell its story.
- Design Graphics for social media
- Edit and publish content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
- Assist in planning and scheduling social media posts,
- Collaborate with teachers and students (with consent) to highlight achievements and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Ensure brand consistency through tone, voice, and design across platforms.
- Monitor social engagement and suggest ideas for growing our audience
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Passion for music, education, and community engagement
- Experience with photography and video creation/editing
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube)
- Creative thinker with a good eye for visuals and storytelling
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
- Comfortable interacting respectfully with students, parents, and faculty
- Access to your own camera or smartphone with good photo/video quality.
