PT Job: Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum Foundation Administrative Lead
The Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum Foundation (HRCMF), the alumni association of Harvard’s nationally acclaimed mixed-voice choir, is seeking an Administrative Lead to join us as an independent contractor. This role is designed to help us better serve current student singers, alumni, and the broader network of performing groups, arts organizations, conductors, composers, and audiences with which we collaborate. Working closely with Foundation leadership, the Administrative Lead will help develop creative strategies for engaging alumni and audiences; refine our development and communications systems; support the planning and execution of virtual and in-person events; and foster collaboration with current singers and conducting staff.
This position offers a unique opportunity for a graduate-level music student, arts administrator, or musician in the Boston area seeking to build meaningful connections with Harvard’s music community.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Developing a content calendar for alumni and audience engagement
- Maintaining and updating our donor database (Bloomerang)
- Managing CRM system (Constant Contact) and email communication to alumni base
- Processing and acknowledging donations
- Coordinating our annual Phonathon
- Drafting and designing print and digital communications
- Managing social media feeds
- Providing on-the-ground support for events (receptions, meetings, sings)
- Attending virtual board meetings (4/year) and occasional committee meetings
- General administrative support as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- We’re looking for a diligent, creative, and highly organized individual with strong communication skills and a passion for arts administration.
- This role is flexible and can be shaped around your strengths and interests—we want it to be professionally enriching for you as well as impactful for our organization.
- Experience with donor databases, web design, social media, fundraising, or email newsletter platforms is a plus, but not required.
- Preference will be given to candidates in the greater Boston area, though exceptional remote applicants will be considered.
POSITION DETAILS:
- Independent contractor role
- Average of 6–10 hours per week (with occasional increases during key events)
- $40/hour compensation
- Reports to the President of the Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum Foundation
