Arts Letters & Number is looking for the Resident Arist Applications Manager.
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
Arts Letters & Numbers is a non-profit arts, education, and publishing organization dedicated to promoting creative exchanges across a wide range of disciplines including Architecture, Visual Arts, Theatre Arts, Film, Music, Humanities, Sciences, and Social Sciences. Arts Letters & Numbers conducts workshops in educational and cultural institutions worldwide in collaboration with theatre companies, artists, writers, actors, musicians and filmmakers. It operates an ongoing series of educational workshops, performances and film productions at their Averill Park Campus in Upstate, NY.
ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking an organized and motivated Resident Artist Applications Manager to oversee the promotions and applications for the Artist Residency Program. The Applications Manager will ensure that the residency application process runs smoothly, communicate with prospective artists, and play an integral role in supporting the Arts Letters & Numbers community. Estimated 16 hours per week required. This position is available starting from December 1, 2024.
RESPONSIBLITIES

Application Management: Administer the online application platform, ensuring all submissions are reviewed for completeness and accuracy.

Applicant Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for prospective residents, responding to inquiries and providing information about the residency program.

Database Organization: Maintain accurate records of applications, applicant correspondence, and residency schedules.

Process Coordination: Assist the leadership team in organizing and managing the application process.

Onboarding Residents: Communicate with accepted residents to confirm details, provide orientation materials, and coordinate arrival logistics.

Program Promotion: Stay current on artist residency promotional sites, with consistent programing updates and promotion.

Community Engagement: Actively participate in the residency program, fostering a welcoming environment for resident artists and supporting their creative experience.
QUALIFICATIONS

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Experience in administrative roles, project management, or arts programming.

Proficiency with digital tools, including spreadsheets and email systems.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic setting.

Willingness to live on-site and engage in the daily life of the residency program.
PREFERRED SKILLS

Familiarity with artist residency programs and contemporary art practices.

Experience with application management platforms or CRM tools.

Passion for supporting artists and fostering creativity.
