Announcement: Equity Summit
We are excited to share that scholarship applications are now available for Equity Summit 2018: Our Power. Our Future. Our Nation! Join us in Chicago April 11 – 13 as we explore the complexity and urgency of building a multiracial coalition at this pivotal moment for our nation. Solidarity with the emerging people of color majority is essential to redress past harms, embrace inclusion, build an equitable economy, and model true democracy. At the Summit, we will focus on practice and policy, politics and power—the ingredients needed for transformative change.
Equity Summit 2018 is meant to be an inclusive space for stakeholders and advocates from all walks of life who are invested in advancing just and fair inclusion for all. With the availability of scholarship funds, we hope to further enhance the Summit’s racial and ethnic, socioeconomic, age, gender, and geographic diversity. To support advocates who might experience financial barriers to joining the Summit, PolicyLink will be providing a limited number of full and partial scholarships to cover the costs of registration, lodging, and travel to/from Chicago. We encourage you to share this opportunity with your community, and especially with young leaders, local advocates, and partners with small organizational budgets for whom costs could be especially burdensome.
Scholarship applications are now being accepted online and will be accepted until 5:00 pm Pacific Time on November 3. Applicants will be notified no later than December 31 if their application has been accepted. Please note that applying for a scholarship does not automatically register you for the Summit unless you receive a scholarship, so please be sure to do so as soon you are notified of your scholarship status.
